Bar Harbor
On day two, we awoke to watch the sun rising from the east, since we were on the starboard side of Zuiderdam. We would shortly be sailing into Bar Harbor, then anchoring. which would mean that we have to take tender boats to shore. So, we waited to
be given a number to enable us to board a tender to town.
Since Sue and I had not been here in a long while, we just
walked around and explored Bar Harbor. We had hoped
to visit the Abbe Museum but it was closed on Sunday.
After a nice walk and a little window shopping, just like a
good tourist should, we found a nice little oyster bar and café
called The Loft. After lunch, we walked back to the dock and took
the next tender back to the ship.
Our friends took a tour of Acadia National
Park (see picture of Pegi at Thunder Hole
on the right). When they returned, we met
for dinner at the Dining Room.
